Scottish Home Show will build on the success of its inaugural event last year, when it returns to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) in September.
Over 200 exhibitors are expected to exhibit at the 3-day event, which will showcase the latest in home improvements, garden design, furniture, gadgets and interiors.
Some big brand names, including AGA, Bo Concept and Harrods, are already confirmed for the show, which will run from 27-29 September. Organisers expect the show to attract more than 10,000 visitors this year, a 25% increase on numbers last year.
Scottish TV personality and former BBC Changing Rooms presenter, Carol Smillie, will return to the show this year, along with famous builder and Ground Force presenter, Tommy Walsh. Tommy will be running DIY demonstrations over the course of the weekend and offering tips and advice to visitors.
Director of Scottish Home Show, Darren Ross, said: “Last year's event was a big success and far exceeded our expectations. This year’s show is shaping up nicely and we’re naturally really excited about it. We've had a huge amount of interest, both from visitors and exhibitors; there’s going to be a lot of variety and we’ve got some great national brands signed up, such as AGA, IKEA, Victor Paris and, along with some great local businesses too, including Crosby Kitchens, GPH Builders and Laings Direct Line.”
Main sponsor for 2013 is multi award-winning property developer, Dandara Homes. Gavin Wyley, Managing Director Dandara Aberdeen, said: “We are really excited about our involvement with the Scottish Home Show. It’s a unique event that we are keen to be a part of and it gives us a great platform to showcase our latest developments in the North-east.”

The show will take over the AECC’s main arena, where there is expected to be something for everyone. As well as exhibition stands, there will be whisky tasting, cooking lessons by local chefs, baking demonstrations by Dean’s of Huntly and Bentley cars will be showing off their latest models.

A successful North-east home improvements and interiors exhibition which attracted more than 8000 visitors this year is set to double in size for 2013.
Following on from the success of the inaugural Scottish Home Show in September, the organisers have announced that next year's show is scheduled to go ahead again at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) from 27-29 September 2013.
The Scottish Home Show, in association with TradesAdvisor.com, has already secured a huge number of exhibitor bookings and sponsorship for the event, which will again showcase the latest designs in home and garden improvements and interiors.
Increasing to three days next year, TV personality and former BBC Changing Rooms presenter Carol Smillie is set to attend on both Saturday and Sunday.
Tommy Walsh, known for his role on gardening series Ground Force, will also appear to host regular DIY presentations throughout the weekend.
Due to increased demand for exhibitor space, the show is taking up the whole of the AECC's main arena for next year's show, to accommodate more visitors.
This year's show, which attracted more than 200 exhibitors, was the first major home event to be hosted in the North-east in recent years and exceeded all visitor expectations for a first show.
Director of the Scottish Home Show 2013, Darren Ross, said: "We were overwhelmed with the success of this year's exhibition, and next year is set to be another fantastic event to help local and national firms showcase the best products and designs available within the home improvements market.
"We have double the space available for next year to accommodate even larger numbers coming through the doors, and this will give more scope for a wider range of exhibitor stands.
"It's a great opportunity for businesses to highlight their products and services to people interested in extending, renovating and updating their home. The additional day will also allow visitors more time to browse the fantastic exhibitor stands."
The chosen charities for 2013 are local cancer support services CLAN, which provides support to those living with cancer and their families, and UCAN which provides vital awareness and comfort to those affected by urological cancers.
The 2013 exhibition will highlight some of the most luxurious home and garden products, innovative new technology and gadgets on the market, with a range of displays showcasing garden designs and conservatories, the latest home interior designs, kitchens, bathrooms and home technology.
The event is now open for exhibitor bookings with various space and sponsorship options available. To find out more, call us on Aberdeen (01224) 626000!
