Gill Brown was the lucky winner of a seat at our chefs table on Saturday 30th September. Gill will be sitting with Tommy and Kevin, who will all be cooked for by Aberdeen's own Kilted Chef, Craig Wilson.
Craig is the owner of Eat on the Green in Udny Green, Aberdeenshire. Born and bred in the north east, Craig is passionate about creating good food using fresh, local ingredients. His commitment to delivering high quality cuisine has seen him receive wide recognition from both local and national awards and cook for high profile celebrities from Sir Sean Connery to Sir Alex Ferguson.
An ambassador for Scottish food and drink, in 2015, Craig donned his kilt to fly the flag for Scotland’s fantastic produce in New York as part of Scotland Week. During the trip, Craig met with global tourism and travel media representatives and also sampled a wide selection of the city’s cuisine, meeting executive chefs and getting a flavour of the different ingredients used.
Craig is also a committed supporter of cancer related charities and in the last two years, he has raised in excess of £250,000 through various challenges, food demonstrations, fundraisers and events. Not one to rest on his laurels, Craig is about to embark on a new venture with Aberdeen International Airport, to provide a locally inspired menu for the new Northern Lights Lounge.
